About Bastyr University California
Opening in fall 2012, Bastyr University California extends the reach of the nation's largest university for natural health arts and sciences from its roots in the Pacific Northwest.
The University chose San Diego as a second campus location after carefully considering the interest from potential students and patients (who would seek care at a teaching clinic), partnership opportunities with the region's health research institutions, a projected primary care shortage in California, and support from the state's natural health leaders.
Currently, we are offering only the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) program at the San Diego campus, although we expect to offer additional degree programs in the coming years. All of Bastyr's programs combine a multidisciplinary curriculum with an emphasis on research and clinical training. A Bastyr education offers a broad foundation that prepares students to follow their hearts and flourish as successful holistic professionals.
