Nutritional Support for Healthy Aging, Kelly Morrow, MS, RD, CD
This presentation will cover some of the most common complaints that can occur with aging including inflammatory disorders, changes in digestive function and neurological and cognitive decline.  For each condition, supportive nutrients and therapeutic dietary recommendations will be made.  Anti-aging theory and eating strategies to help slow the effects of aging will be discussed.  Information about local services that support senior nutrition will be provided.

Weaning Patients from Hypertensive Medications Using a Botanical and Naturopathic Paradigm, Decker Weiss, ND
The presentation will outline the various pharmaceutical approaches to pain and inflammation, point out the flaws, and present a Naturopathic treatment model to replace it.  The presentation will use studies from conventional organizations including the FDA to demonstrate patient risk, and idealize a clinical approach which is currently being used in Dr. Weiss’s office.

Controversies in Medicine, Jared Zeff, ND, LAc
The most commonly prescribed pharmaceuticals in the US are Statins, Proton Pump Inhibitors, and Anti-depressants.  The only treatment of ill gallbladders is removal, and this is common.  All of these are frequently seen in our aging patients.  We can now prescribe these medications, and we can use alternatives to accomplish the same purposes.  This talk examines the use of these medications, the wisdom of these medications and procedures and alternative considerations.

Cardiac Dysrhythmias: Is a Naturopathic Approach Superior to a Conventional Approach?, Decker Weiss, NMD, FASA
The attendee will receive knowledge on pharmaceutical and mechanical conventional approaches to cardiac dysrhythmias comparing and contrasting ventricular versus atrial issues. In addition the attendee will hear a compelling argument that in certain dysrhythmias the proposed underlying cause may be better treated using a naturopathic paradigm. This will include a potential of a limited use of pharmaceuticals in a Naturopathic dominant model.

Maintaining and Restoring Healthy Sexual Function in Later Years of LIfe, Deborah Frances, ND
This lecture will discuss naturopathic therapies for maintaining and restoring healthy sexual function. Emphasis will be on non-hormonal therapies and effective herbal protocols with case illustrations included.

Testosterone Therapeutics: Therapies for Older Men, Safe & Effective Use, Jonathan Wright, MD

Don't Go Deaf, Blind, or Lose Your Mind, Jonathan Wright, MD
