The daylong Active Pediatric and Parental Lifestyle Education (APPLE) Core offers whole foods nutrition tips in a family-friendly environment.

APPLE Core logoExperts from the Bastyr University Department of Nutrition and Exercise Science invites you to the second annual Active Pediatric and Parental Lifestyle Education (APPLE) Core, a healthy lifestyle workshop for children ages 8-12 and their parents.

The day full of fun and instructive whole-food nutrition education includes:

  • Behavioral counseling for the child and family
  • Family-oriented physical activity and health education
  • A family cooking class
  • Lunch will be provided
  • Each family will receive a QFC gift card for purchasing
