The Opal Eating Disorder Program will close out this year's National Eating Disorders Awareness Week Speaker Series with an interdisciplinary speaker panel.

Bastyr University's departments of Nutrition and Exercise Science and Counseling and Health Psychology bring you the third annual National Eating Disorders Awareness Week Speaker Series from February 27 to March 1, 2012.

The interdisciplinary speaker panel will feature the Opal Eating Disorder Program, which will explore and discuss:

  • Barriers to treatment, including difficulties with insurance coverage and cost of treatment
  • Different levels of care and when to refer to higher levels
  • Role of each professional in various levels of care and treatment team approach

While eating disorders may begin with preoccupations with food and weight, they are most often about much more than food. Join us to learn more about eating disorder awareness, prevention and treatment.
