Adjacent to the university's own playfields and gardens are miles of wooded trails winding through 316-acre St. Edward State Park to the shore of Lake Washington. The park has a secluded beach and a natural habitat where coyotes, eagles and spotted owls find refuge. The park also manages a swimming pool, outdoor volleyball courts, tennis courts and playfields available to Bastyr students, faculty and staff. Beyond the ClassroomMany Bastyr students dream of extending their studies beyond the United States borders, and the university offers many ways to help students to fulfill that dream. Bastyr "venture grant" is one option, which gives students a chance to receive financing for educational ventures they design themselves. See how a few proactive Bastyr students are involved in making the world's communities a 'well' place to live. ![]()
