Nutrition & Exercise Science

Kory is core faculty and the MSN/DPD Director in the Nutrition and Exercise Science Department at Bastyr University. She is also an Integrative Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.

Biography

Kory teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in clinical nutrition assessment and therapy, therapeutic culinary nutrition, food writing, and public health nutrition at Bastyr University. She is also the Nutrition Clinic Coordinator at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, Bastyr’s teaching clinic. Previous to working at Bastyr, Kory worked in the hospital setting as a clinical RDN specializing in organ transplant nutrition, and in the nutrition culinary setting as a cooking instructor for various groups. Additionally, Kory was the Chair of Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine (DIFM) DPG for the 2020-2021 year.

Her clinical interests are varied, and she primarily approaches nutrition counseling through a mindfulness-based approach.
