Description
This one bowl cake always comes out moist and light. It is so easy to make that it is a great recipe to prepare with children — frosted with Vegan Ganache Frosting it is sure to please!
Ingredients
1 1⁄2 cup
unbleached all-purpose flour 3⁄4 cup
agave syrup 1 tsp
baking soda 1 tsp
salt 1⁄3 cup
cocoa powder 1⁄2 cup
canola oil 1 cup
water 1 tsp
vanilla 1 tbsp
white wine vinegarInstructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients until smooth. Pour batter into a 9-inch oiled and parchment-lined cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees until the cake shrinks slightly from the sides of the pan and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 35 minutes.
Cool for 5 minutes in pan, then remove from pan and cool on a wire rack. When cake is cool, frost with ganache. Refrigerate for an least one hour before serving.
