Carrots contain plenty of beta carotene, which boosts your immune system's production of healthy, infection-fighting cells. Steam carrots, rutabaga and yam. Once tender, mash or food process with 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 2 tablespoons ghee.
Notes
Variation: Steam 2 carrots with 1/2 cup snap peas in the pod and 2 tablespoons of fresh mint. Toss in olive oil or ghee.
