Barbecue Tempeh

Description

For those of you unfamiliar with tempeh, it is made of cooked soybeans that are fermented and is of Indonesian origin. A 4-ounce piece has 200 calories, 17 grams of protein and 4 grams of fat. Prepare the Barbecue Sauce first. This can be done a day ahead of time.

Ingredients

16 oz
tempeh (2 packages)
1⁄4 cup
olive oil
1⁄2 cup
white onions
1⁄2 cup
green bell peppers
1⁄2 cup
red bell peppers
1⁄2 cup
nappa cabbage
1 cup
barbecue sauce

Instructions

Cut the tempeh into 1 ½" by ¾" rectangles. Sauté the tempeh in the oil until browned. Add the onions and continue to saute till golden brown. Add the peppers and continue to sauté. Add the Nappa cabbage and saute until tender. Place these ingredients in a serving container and cover generously with barbecue sauce. Serve and enjoy!
