Lodging & Transportation - Continuing Education
Parking
Parking is free for our Bastyr guests. However, a guest parking pass needs to be displayed on your dashboard. Those without a pass risk being towed. There are various ways to obtain a guest parking pass:
- Participants of a continuing education seminar: A week before your class begins, you will receive a parking pass via email. Just print it out and place it on your dash. Should you forget your parking pass, your seminar host can give you a pass upon check-in.
- Visitors to campus Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Stop at the reception desk for a guest pass.
- Contact the continuing education department: Email continuinged[at]bastyr[dot]edu or call (425) 602-3152, and we will email you a pass that you can print out at home.
With a guest pass displayed on your dash, you can park in any spot that is not reserved for a special population (i.e. handicap, faculty, board members and the president).
Transportation from Sea-Tac Airport
The Bastyr campus is a 40- to 90-minute drive from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, depending on time of day and traffic. Shuttle Express (1-800-487-7433) offers door-to-door service, as do commercial taxis. Although there is bus service to Bastyr, the route involves many transfers and there can be long waits.
Lodging
Hotels – Several hotels are located within 6 to 10 miles of Bastyr. Most likely you will need a car, or you can take a taxi to Bastyr since no hotels are on easy bus routes. Download a hotel list (pdf).
Campus Dorms – Bastyr has several dorm rooms available for single or double occupancy. Two dorms include a private bathroom, but most dorm guests use the shared bathroom and showers down the hall. You can download a dorm room flier (pdf) to see pictures, a description, prices and how to reserve a room.
Classroom Information - Continuing Education
The classroom location for your event is included in the class description on our course calendar on this website. We will also have colorful signage on the campus directing you to your class. Look for the signs posted on the bulletin board located under the columns at the main entrance to campus.

Please submit your request in writing (email or fax). Unless otherwise specified in the individual course descriptions, cancellations or transfers made up to 14 calendar days before the first day of the course will result in a refund, less a $35 processing fee or 20 percent of tuition, whichever is less. No refunds are granted for cancellations made with less than the 14-day notice, nor for home study courses once the registration and payment have been processed.
Returned checks will be assessed a $28 fee.
