As the premier institution in natural health arts and sciences education, we feel strongly about providing the public with authoritative health information, life-enriching classes, and talks by world-renowned lecturers and authors. If you live in the local area, we welcome you to visit our campus to take a class, hear speakers, enjoy our vegetarian cafeteria, host your events and retreats, and use our library. Health Care Services

  • Bastyr Center for Natural Health DispensaryBastyr Center for Natural Health – The University's teaching clinic, Bastyr Center for Natural Health, is the largest natural health clinic in the Northwest, with approximately 35,000 patient visits annually. The clinic provides health care services and student clinical training in our beautiful, LEED-certified facility, located in the Fremont/Wallingford district of Seattle.
  • Dispensaries – A natural products dispensary and a Chinese herbal medicine dispensary are located onsite at Bastyr Center for Natural Health, where you can also buy unique gift items. Your health care practitioner may call in your herbal prescription for pickup during our convenient business hours.

On-Campus Resources

  • Public Access – The University encourages our community and other visitors to share in the beauty of the gardens, walk the reflexology path, hike or bike the forest trails, and enjoy the library, cafeteria, bookstore or similar amenities during University hours of operation. In addition, the University’s conference services department can assist qualified groups with the rental of rooms and catering needs. The phone number for conference services is (425) 602-3075. During daylight hours, the University has athletic fields that are available for qualified groups upon agreement and reservation.   • Bookstore – Our bookstore carries a unique collection of natural health-related books, products, gifts, clothing and supplies.
  • Cafeteria – Bastyr's award-winning cafeteria serves healthy vegetarian cuisine, baked bread, and desserts daily. Open to the public. Hours change during holidays and school breaks.
  • Conference Services – We offer room rentals and catering services for conferences and retreats. Our chapel, known worldwide for its outstanding acoustics, is also available for private ceremonies, concerts and recording sessions.
  • Courses for the Public – Choose from a variety of academic, The front of Bastyr Universityadult-education and continuing education classes that fit your schedule.
  • Library – The largest collection of complementary and alternative medicine resources in the Pacific Northwest, including books, journals, audio and videotapes, and online resources. The library also holds an impressive historical collection of rare and early works.
  • Medicinal Herb Garden and Reflexology Footpath – Our ever-growing, student-maintained organic medicinal herb garden contains more than 350 medicinal and culinary herbs and crops. The garden's harvests are used in the nutrition department's cooking classes, incorporated into the cafeteria menu, and over 300 pounds was donated last year to Hopelink. The reflexology footpath, the first of its kind in North America, is a nationally known feature, drawing visitors and national media attention. Self-guided tour booklets are available.
  • Research studies Support Bastyr's research activity in the field of natural health sciences by volunteering to be a research participant.
  • WeddingsOur beautiful nondenominational chapel is an ideal setting for wedding ceremonies.
