Bastyr University provides a number of ways for the public to enrich their academic and personal interests. Whether you would like to learn to cook healthy foods, use simple natural remedies at home, or master the art of organic gardening, we offer a variety of options to fit your schedule. Health professionals can also fulfill their continuing education credits through the University.

Non-Degree Courses Open to the Public
Our regular academic offerings are available to the public when extra seats are open. As a non-matriculated student, you can take classes for credit or audit. Classes are available from a variety of degree programs, including nutrition, health psychology and herbal sciences. These 10-week courses, usually held during weekdays, are offered by the Office of the Registrar. Find out more.
Community Education Courses
These one-time classes are offered in an adult education format and are not a part of our regular academic offerings. They are not available for credit. Classes take place over the weekend or on a weeknight to accommodate the schedules of working adults. You can learn about natural health topics, including healthy cooking, essential oils, kitchen remedies for colds and flu, and more. These classes are offered through the Department of Extended Education.
