Dr. Schwaiger is a clinical associate professor and core faculty at Bastyr University California. He also is a clinical supervisor at Bastyr University Clinic.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree from Grand Canyon College in Behavioral Sciences
  • Masters' degree in Health Services Management from Webster University
  • Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe, Arizona, in 1999

Past Experience

Dr. Schwaiger completed a two-year residency in family medicine at SCNM. He served as associate professor of clinical medicine and chair of the Department of General Medicine at SCNM. He also served as professor and chair of the Department of Integrative Medicine at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College (AIMC), Berkeley, before moving to San Diego.

Interests

Dr. Schwaiger’s clinical work specializes in general family practice with emphasis on integrative care. He has extensive training and more than 13 years of experience using therapeutic injections for the treatment of chronic pain. He has a personal interest in photography.

Philosophy

Dr. Schwaiger applies an integrative approach to his naturopathic primary care practice utilizing evidence-based medicine and clinical experience.
