PCC Cooks presents "Second Time Around: Planning for Leftovers" on Bastyr Campus, October 10
Bastyr University's Department of Nutrition and Exercise Science is pleased to continue their partnership with PCC Natural Markets to offer inspiring, hands-on cooking classes! This spring, PCC Cooks is holding several cooking classes in Bastyr's state-of-the-art teaching kitchen. Many of the PCC Cooks instructors are Bastyr graduates or faculty members, so it's only natural that we team up with PCC. And if you haven't already visited our beautiful teaching kitchen we encourage you to experience it first-hand by registering for one or more of the offered classes.
PCC Cooks features dozens of fun, idea-inspiring classes for experienced cooks and food-loving novices alike.
PCC Cooks classes center on great-tasting natural cooking techniques, presented by professional chefs and experienced instructors, including Bastyr's nutrition alumni and faculty, who are dedicated to using the freshest ingredients like locally grown produce, wild-caught fish and healthy whole grains.
Second Time Around: Planning for Leftovers
In an ideal world we would have the time to prepare fresh meals from scratch on a daily basis. Jennifer has been working with busy clients long enough to empathize with this dilemma. In this informative class, you will learn how to transform simple dishes into exciting leftovers throughout the week. We'll start with Quinoa, Roasted Chicken and Lentil Soup, then let the magic begin; you'll be inspired by how these dishes can be transformed into a new menu each night of the week. This technique is a great way to plan for leftovers, eat more wholesome foods and save money, all at the same time. With poultry and dairy; no eggs.
