This book contains forms which can be copied and used to organize a medical practice. Transcultural Health Care:   A Culturally Competent Approach . 2 nd ed. Purnell, Larry D. and Betty J. Paulanka. Philadelphia :   F.A. Davis Company, 2003. T he Purnell Model for Cultural Competence is used in performing cultural assessments of patients and their families by health care providers. This book includes a focus on the dominant American culture and an appendix of illnesses and diseases by heritage and origin. Community Resources

•  Senior Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) Volunteers will help new business owners develop a business plan and provide other free consulting. You can schedule an appointment at Bothell Library by calling (425) 486-7811, extension 3.

•  Small Business Development Center (SBCD) Offers training and technical assistance to small business owners. Inexpensive workshops and personal coaching. Edmonds Community College has an active SBCD.   Information is available at 425-640-1840.

•  King County Library You can access several online databases at King Library if you have a library card. Apply at any branch. The Web address is www.kcls.org . Click on Databases; Business & Investing.
