HealthWorld Online
Despite the commercial look (there are lots of ads beyond the main page), this consumer-oriented site has informative overviews of therapies and conditions. The extensive list of health conditions provides research articles from industry experts in many modalities, and the directory of practitioners is comprehensive. The Nutrition, Fitness and Wellness Centers offer many articles of interest such as dietary supplements, disease prevention and links to related organizations and resources.

A comprehensive resource for clinical information relating to complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), as well as Provider and School Finders. Includes access to HealthNotes, for patient information, and Clinical Essentials, an evidence-based database offering the latest CAM research from key medical journals.
National Center for Complementary & Alternative Medicine (NCCAM)
In 1998, Congress established the NCCAM at the National Institute of Health (NIH). "The NCCAM conducts and supports basic and applied (clinical) research and research training on CAM." An important part of its mission is to communicate information on complimentary and alternative medicine (CAM) to the public and healthcare providers. The NCCAM and the National Library of Medicine (NLM) partnered to create CAM on PubMed, a subset of citations relating to complementary and alternative medicine. Research Council on Complementary Medicine (RCCM)
The RCCM was founded in the United Kingdom in 1983 in order to conduct and promote research into complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and to disseminate the results. There is free limited access to the CISCOM Research Database. You can request a full search of the database for $30. RCCM is not government funded. A comprehensive site with extensive research information.
Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Center for Complementary and Alternative Information
The Rosenthal Center was one of the first centers at a major medical school devoted to complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) research, education, and training. Extensive annotated links for consumers and practitioners. Primary categories include Women's Health Resources, Breast Cancer Citations, Directory of Databases, Botanical Medicine, Aging Resources, and CAM Medical School Courses. Extensive list of alternative medicine related sites from A to Z. The categories are not annotated but the site listings have short ones. If you don't know exactly what you're looking for or you just want to browse, this is a good place to begin. Primarily consumer-oriented, but there are some sites for practitioners. An excellent place to search for organizations, institutions, associations, schools, and basic information about therapies.
