Dr. Robert Svoboda (drsvoboda.com)
Dr. Robert Svoboda was the first Westerner to graduate from a college of Ayurveda (in 1980) and be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India. He is an adjunct faculty member at Bastyr University and has written a number of books on all aspects of Ayurveda, most of which are available for sale at this site. His site also provides a series of articles on Ayurveda and an extensive list of related links.
The Ayurveda Institute
Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. "Established in 1984 to teach and provide the traditional therapy of East Indian Ayurveda including herbs, nutrition, panchakarma cleansing, acupressure massage, yoga, Sanskrit, and Jyotish (Vedic astrology)." Most of the topics are taught by Dr. Vasant Lad, who brings a wealth of classroom and practical experience to the institute and has authored several books on the subject.
