Services Provided
Bastyr employs floor managers; full-time students living on campus who assist and respond to residents' needs. In addition, they create social and educational programs that are designed to establish community among the residents. Custodial service is provided for the common areas (hallways, bathrooms and lounge) along with a vacuum cleaner that is available for personal use.
Bastyr Cafeteria
Bastyr's chef Jeff Basom whips up vegetarian food that delights the palate; tangy soups, homemade bread, pastries, unique pasta salads and tofu entrees, to name a few. Juices, healthy snacks, brownies, cookies and organic espresso are also available. You will always find the cafeteria a place to gather and stay connected at the university. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served Monday through Friday during the academic year along with brunch and dinner on the weekends (by a pre-paid arrangement). The cafeteria is closed during official school holidays and serves breakfast and lunch during school breaks.
