Currently under construction and set to open for student residents in summer 2010, Bastyr's new Student Village consists of 11 three-story buildings housing 12 students each. Each green-built, LEED-certified and ADA-compliant cottage includes:
Furnished single suite rooms, each with a private bath and an extra-long single bed
A complete, shared kitchen with individual pantry space; occupants provide dishes, pans and utensils
A shared lounge with a big-screen cable television, comfortable seating and gathering space
A group study room, plus two study lofts with large tables
Enclosed bicycle storage to secure bikes outside the hall
Free laundry at two washer and dryer sets
Free Wi-Fi throughout each hall, and the option to add wired connection in your suite
Cable television available in each suite
Card and key security
Free utilities
Access to landline phone in lounge, plus option to add landline phone in your suite
Mail service to your hall
Built on the northern edge of campus along the tree line, the cottages are connected by a series of garden paths and courtyards carefully designed to be energy efficient and mitigate impact to the local environment.
Cost: Village housing is $785 per month, billed quarterly to your student account.
Housing will be available on the fifth floor of the main campus building ONLY when the Student Village housing is completely full. Old Main housing amenities include:

Partial kitchen facilities; no oven or stove-top
Community bathrooms
Free Wi-Fi and laundry

Cost: The fifth floor of the main campus building offers five sizes of single rooms available for occupancy, with rates ranging from $425-$550 per month. There is an option for a shared double room if you have a roommate already designated. The cost for a shared double is $300 per person per month.

Dining Options:
Bastyr's gourmet whole food cafeteria offers innovative menus appealing to every taste and dietary need, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. The cafeteria serves up tasty salad bar options, delicious soups, creative hot meals and fresh-baked goods daily. With a commitment to sustainable practices, the cafeteria frequently harvests ingredients from the University's own organic garden, and it composts its food waste and biodegradable utensils, cups and plates. Juices, healthy snacks, brownies, cookies and organic espresso are also available. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served Monday through Friday during the academic year along with brunch and dinner on the weekends (by a pre-paid arrangement). The cafeteria is closed during official school holidays and serves breakfast and lunch during school breaks.
