A Multidisciplinary Curriculum
Respected internationally for its science-based natural health programs, the university began in 1978 as a college with 31 students in a naturopathic medicine program. In fall 2006, 1138 were enrolled in the university, in a range of graduate and undergraduate programs including not only naturopathic medicine, but also acupuncture and Oriental medicine, applied behavioral science, nutrition, exercise science and wellness, herbal sciences and health psychology. Research at Bastyr is world renowned. Bastyr Center for Natural Health is the largest natural health care facility in the Northwest.
