N.M.D. Practice for sale

Practice for sale:
In beautiful Cedar City, Utah.
$75,000 in monthly installments at $1,500 for 50 months or $65,000 all at once.
I have gladly invested blood, sweat, and tears and about $80,000 into this practice. It has served me well and I hate to say goodbye to it and the people associated with it. But I am a visionary and builder and am feeling a call to start a new project in a different area. Even with the economic down turn the last 2 years I have taken home $70,000 a year.

The Office itself.
I am leasing (the lease rate is $1,500 a month) from a 30+ year veteran midwife and master herbalist Vickie Sorenson. She is truly amazing and as a young doctor I have learned much from her and have been able to help her and her patients with my knowledge, we have a true collaboration going on between us. There is 1 office staff member for the facility and you will need to hire your own assistant on the days that you’re in the office to take care of all of the billing for you. There is a massage therapist that does energy work named Susie Young who is a long term veteran as well and very knowledgeable. Next is a PsyChi therapist that helps people with emotional blockages and has really quite amazing results. There is a chiropractor that does NAET in the office as well as standard chiropractic. And a foot zoning therapist who just moved into the office in August 2012. There is also a colon hydrotherapy machine in the office.
The office is in an old large (7,000+ sqft) Victorian a very prominate building in Southern Utah it has a birth suite and a recovery suite if you are at all interested in midwifery. You have free reign of 3 rooms. Your office, the IV room, and the therapy room (which I use for Constitutional hydrotherapies and acupuncture). I mix my own herbals and homeopathics.

The Practice includes
All charts (over 1,300)
Homeopathic supplies (over $3,500 in homeopathic mothers)
All bulk herbals (over $6,000 in herbal tinctures)
Constitutional Hydrotherapy (Towels, machine, and table)
Large cabinet for storing lab test kits
Office Desk, office chairs (3), 2 book cases (1 large and 1 small), a massage table as an exam table
IV poles (3), 2 large Ashley recliners, 1 other chair for the IV room, 2 end tables in the IV room, IV cart, IV supplies including catheters, tegaderm, IV lines, injectables, Excel bags, etc…

This is truly a dream of a practice to walk into it has a great reputation and some people travel 2-3 hours to come and get treated. It is a general practice I see everything from colds and flus to complicated poly pharmacy multiple diagnosis cases. There is quite the mix of attitudes, as well some want only natural treatment, others are curious but hesitant with natural medicine, but I find over all most are very open minded here in this area.
Modalities that I currently use are acupuncture, herbs, homeopathy, supplements of all kinds, IV therapies, neural therapy, bio identicals (there is a great compounding pharmacist in town), all lab work, and refer to hospital for imaging, I do Rx on occasion probably 4-5 a month usually just for weaning purposes or to assist in controlling the situation while we treat. I refer for chiropractic just because we have 3 amazing chiropractors here in town and they refer to me a lot.

Marketing (What I have found that works)
The Practice has been functioning for over 5 years. Began Practice in July 2007 at which time only a small handful of people in the cedar city market area had even heard of a Naturopathic Doctor. Now after five years, Word of Mouth, frequent lectures, a 4 year stent on the local talk radio program and even being a guest lecturer 4 times a year at SUU (Southern Utah University) Nursing college, have been the best forms of advertising in this rural community that draws from a 5 county market area. The practice now has over 1500 charts and averages about 4 new patients a week.
