We are seeking the expertise of a registered dietitian to help us develop and launch an in-store dietitian service for our customers make healthier choices with "answers in the aisles", one-on-one counseling, cooking classes, media appearances, live-action culinary demonstrations, and numerous nutrition programs in our stores and throughout our communities.
We are seeking a registered dietitian who is eager to have FUN while using their own creative talents to help our customers live a healthier and more active lifestyle. The Market’s dietitian promotes food and health throughout the entire store: every aisle, produce, meat, seafood, food service, even the baby aisle.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Give every customer immediate and undivided attention.
Help customers make healthier choices by recommending quality products and providing attentive, knowledgeable service.
Promotes food and health throughout the entire store: every aisle, produce, meat, seafood, food service, even the baby aisle.
Understand why our products are different than conventional stores and explain differences to customers.
Comply with all applicable regulations and guidelines (in the United States this includes DSHEA - Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act) when assisting guests in selecting products that best suit their needs.
Log and process customer special orders and retrieve special orders for customers by request.
Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
Operate and sanitize all Wellness Department equipment in a safe and proper manner.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree with major in Dietetics, Foods, and Nutrition.
Current Registered Dietitian Certification
Familiarity with Whole Body products, nutritional information and areas of studies e.g. herbs, homeopathy, etc
Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team; ability to communicate effectively with customers and answer questions in a clear service-oriented manner.
Knowledge of the DSHEA Act
Thorough knowledge of nutrition, diets, and their effects on illness, healing, and disease processes
Ability to create and maintain marketing programs and initiatives that address strategic goals
Ability to interface and manage relations with various internal/external contacts requiring a high level of discretion and professionalism
Demonstrated ability to independently attend to details, prioritize, delegate, complete multiple tasks, problem-solve and meet deadlines
Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
Ability to sell proactively.
Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
Effective time management skills.
Strong work ethic and integrity.
Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
Physical Requirements:
Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
