The Designs For Health Nutritionist Placement Program (NPP) is currently accepting nutritionists in Washington State. This revolutionary program matches Nutritionists with Doctors to form strategic alliances that benefit the nutritionist, the doctor, and their patients. To qualify, you must have a credential/certification in nutrition from an accredited program or state agency, and have an interest in biochemistry and functional medicine. The NPP involves a self-paced distance study component with a workbook, audio CD's and powerpoint presentations, and results in an in-house certification upon completion. Once certified, the nutritionist is eligible to be added to a list of available nutritionists in their geographic region. When a doctor in that locale requests a nutritionist the match will be made. This is a good opportunity for new grads or nutritionists with a part time practice and who are seeking additional work opportunities. Compensation depends upon the agreement made directly between the doctor and the nutritionist and the NPP staff can assist in negotiating an equitable arrangement. There are no placement fees.
