Northern Virginia Site Director position is part-time, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the educational and administrative activities of a nine-month accredited dietetic internship with a mission of graduating confident and competent entry-level dietitians. The Site Director develops and maintains worksite facilities and plans activities to meet the goal of providing diverse approaches to health and nutrition promotion. Duties include the development and facilitation of weekly classes in all aspects of clinical and community dietetics and food service management and the placement and supervision of eight dietetic interns. Administrative duties include the coordination of classroom facilities, worksite facility requirements and site affiliation agreements. These duties are done in conjunction with the Virginia Tech Dietetic Internship Director in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Master’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Public Health or other field related to Dietetics, or equivalent, extensive experience in program development, teaching, and/or leadership. Registered Dietitian credentials, minimum of 3 years of practitioner experience, evidence of organization and management skills, membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
