Community Acupuncturist Desired - North Seattle

North Seattle Orthopedic & Community Acupuncture (the NorthSea) is looking for a talented and compassionate Community Acupuncturist to help us build our practice. This is a part-time position as an employee, not a contractor. Employment begins at two four-hour shifts per week with opportunities for more.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must be:
• strongly interested in community acupuncture and affordable, accessible healthcare
• an excellent communicator, with good writing skills, able to explain acupuncture effectively to people unacquainted with it
• Excellent at connecting quickly and authentically with people and building positive/productive relationships with them
• detail-oriented, timely, and possessing good follow-through habits, who can work independently and with others
• a Washington State Licensed Acupuncturist
• covered by a Washington State approved practice insurance plan not requiring arbitration
• experienced with Dr. Tan and Master Tung style points and treatment protocols
• experienced with patent herbs
• Computer savvy with email, MS Word, and Facebook. Excel is desirable

Compensation:
This is a part-time, employment position. Initial compensation is hourly, switching, after a set period of time, to a base hourly rate plus per-patient commission. Benefits include free acupuncture from other staff members and herbs at cost.

Hours:
Initially, two four-hour shifts per week, days to be determined. Preference is for Friday and Sunday, but willing to discuss.

Who are we?
The NorthSea is a successful, multi-practitioner acupuncture clinic that has been in the Northgate neighborhood since June 2009. As a community clinic, we cater to people who believe good healthcare should be highly affordable and available. A significant portion of our patients have orthopedic needs stemming from athletic challenges or debilitating physical conditions. In addition, we see quite a few folks with emotional challenges (stress, anxiety, depression, etc.)
