Due to our consistent success in the Supplement industry, Pure Essence Labs is continuing to grow. The Nutraceutical Reseach and Development Assistant is responsible for new material sourcing and formulation support, as well as providing support in preparing training materials, programs, course content and training aids.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist formulator in R&D sample sourcing for all new and current projects
Assist Formulator in compiling and combining existing ingredient resource information, research citations, articles and newsletter references on product ingredients
Work with formulator to set up in-house or practitioner clinical trials as needed
Submit all R&D samples to lab in a timely fashion with proper, GMP compliant forms
Maintain database of all R&D samples complete with price quotes
Provide customer service to inside and outside sales representatives with information to address complicated questions of an unusual, scientific, or clinical nature
Maintain product bibliographies and online allergen document data base with GMP/CQ
Write articles, technical pieces, FAQ’s, web and brochure copy as needed
Stay abreast of all current nutritional research as well as all current industry trends and news
Work with formulator on product catalogue, brochures, and sell sheets as needed
Attend raw materials trade shows as needed.
Provide various administrative duties for formulator
Education and Experience:
· Minimum of a Bachelors Degree, preferably in nutrition, biology, communication, or education
· Extensive knowledge of nutraceuticals and dietary supplement formulation
· Marketing experience at the retail level
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
· Experience with social media forums
· Experience with graphic design support
