Gas, constipation, and heartburn probably aren’t your idea of pleasant conversation topics, but they become important pretty quick if they are making you miserable. Digestion is one of those things you’d rather not think about if you don’t have to—sight unseen sounds better than a tour of your colon. Sure, food and diet are important, but we are just as interested in what comes out of the human body as what goes in. If food doesn’t get properly digested, it hardly matters what you put in your mouth. Want faultless digestion? Learn some simple herbs and following a few basic lifestyle rules. And if some troubles do come your way, some effortless and effective natural remedies can put you right in no time. Sun, May 22, 9:00am-4:00pm. Instructor: KP Khalsa (5.5 HRs)

Holidays can be a time of great joy or sorrow. The media tells us it’s a time to spend with family and loved ones. When you’ve lost a loved one on or close to a holiday, you’ve got a sad reminder each year of that event. For some, the issue might not be the death of a loved one but a traumatic experience that occurred on a holiday such as a fire, or tragic accident on July 4th.

How do we cope with those losses? How do we express our grief so that others will respect our wishes for celebrating the holiday or not?

Audit a Class @ Bastyr

Did you know that you (the general public) can take many of the University's regular academic courses, assuming extra seats are available and you have the required prerequisites?

You can either audit classes or take them for credit. These 11-week classes, usually held on weekdays, are available in the nutrition, culinary arts, exercise science, health psychology and herbal sciences programs.
