A 2004 graduate of the naturopathic medicine program at Bastyr, Becky Chollet is now just months away from joining a medical practice in Vermont, where she will practice alongside a well-established naturopathic physician who is also her mentor. Student Spotlight: Bastyr Student Writes from Iraq
Brandy Rose Lipscomb was in her fourth year of naturopathic training at Bastyr when her Washington National Guard unit was called up in late October 2003 to prepare for service in Iraq. To help put a human face on the Iraq war, Brandy has given us permission to print excerpts from the many e-mails the 27-year-old combat medic has been sharing with the Bastyr community. Read Brandy’s e-mails.

He believes that the conventional medical field needs to start recognizing that good medicine begins with the body’s ability to heal itself. Read an interview with Dr. Weil.
