Not only will your brick mark your place in the history of Bastyr University, your donation will also help future generations of students studying at Bastyr. All proceeds raised from these brick programs will be used to support our annual fund.* Systems Beds Border ProjectThis year, the Bastyr University Medicinal Herb Garden will be redesigned, transforming our standard, linear beds into a conical design, with the tallest plants in the center and shorter plants toward the outside. Brick borders will be built around each circular bed with markers identifying every plant. The garden has 17 physiological systems beds that are home to nearly 100 types of plants. Each plant marker will include the donor's name/personal message as well as a plant's Latin and common names. Individuals may choose which plant they wish to have appear on their markers. $600 – 8"x 8” Plant Marker: You may use up to six lines of text and 18 characters per line (including the Latin and common name of your selected plant).  A bee pollinates a foxglove plant in our herb garden's cardiovascular bed. Examples from our cardiovascular bed (one of our physiological systems beds): - Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary)
- Leonorus cardiaca (Motherwort)
- Crataegus douglasii (Hawthorne)
- Allium sativa (Garlic)
- Digitalis purpurea (Foxglove)

Legacy Walk ProjectA new brick Legacy Walk will meander through the garden to the gazebo. Members of the Bastyr community have the opportunity to purchase individual bricks in three sizes. Not only will your brick mark your place in the history of Bastyr University, your donation will also help future generations of students studying at Bastyr. A tribute gift is a meaningful way of celebrating the lives of people you love or to mark special occasions. While creating a thoughtful remembrance, you demonstrate appreciation for the joy and benefits of that treasured relationship. $300 – 4"x 8" Legacy Brick: You may use up to three lines of text and 18 characters per line. $600 – 8"x 8" Legacy Brick: You may use up to six lines of text and 18 characters per line. $1,200 – 12"x 12" Legacy Brick: You may use up to ten lines of text and 23 characters per line.  Your donation will enhance the Medicinal Herb Garden's role as an integral part of Bastyr's natural health sciences curriculum These engraved bricks are a nice way to honor someone close to you or celebrate a major life milestone. An acknowledgment of your gift is sent to the person or family you are honoring, notifying them of your contribution without specifying the amount. You will receive an acknowledgment of thanks separately. Your gift is tax-deductible.
*The annual fund provides vital funding for day-to-day operations and gives the University the flexibility to direct resources where they are needed most. Please note: Estimate six months from the time your order is received for your brick to be laid in the Medicinal Herb Garden.
