Etienne will first guide you through your own prebirth, birth and postbirth experiences in order to remind you of your own moments at this formative time in your life. From this point you will have developed more empathy with a newborn child. You are then prepared to work with babies, small children, soon-to-be mothers, and postpartum mothers. You will learn how to lovingly communicate with both mother and child; and use craniosacral techniques to assess and correct the effects of a traumatic birth of a young client.

The Certificate Program includes completion of all three craniosacral courses (Levels 1-3), and requires that you attend supervised practice sessions, participate in two-way trades with sequential SOAP charting, conduct client craniosacral sessions with a variety of clients, receive personal treatment sessions from certified instructors or practitioners, and pass both the practical and written exams.

You can technically complete the Certificate Program within a 12-month period. However, you need to take into consideration your ability to not only fulfill the requirements but also master the subtle skills necessary to achieve excellence in craniosacral therapy (CST). In order to optimize your skill development, it is recommended (although not required) that you complete the program within three years of registering. Once you register, an instructor/mentor will be assigned to guide you through the process (either Nancy Witt, PT, MSW, CST-D or Einat Arian, ND, PhD, CST-D).

Talking to people and telling them to change their thinking is simply no longer state-of-the-art treatment. A growing body of scientific research and literature, especially in the field of trauma, recognizes that the dysregulation of affect and disruptions in mood and thought are driven by the body – more specifically by disturbances in the body’s bioenergetic patterns. In this hands-on workshop you will learn simple yet profound client-centered tools that combine cognitive interventions with physical interventions derived from acupuncture, yoga, and other ancient systems of healing. Collectively, these methods are known as Energy Psychology. In this Level 1 workshop you will learn simple, yet profound client-centered tools that combine physical interventions derived from acupuncture, yoga, and other ancient systems of healing with cognitive interventions. Zero Balancing (ZB) is an innovative, holistic and powerful hands-on method for integrating the body’s energy and structure. Developed by Dr. Fritz Smith MD, osteopath and acupuncturist, ZB integrates Western concepts of anatomy with Eastern principles of energy flow through the bones and joints of the body. Interruptions to this flow can result from physical, mental or emotional disturbances. ZB mobilizes held energy at the bone layer thus releasing held tensions in the more superficial tissues and layers of the body/mind and throughout the entire system.

This course will present the foundational aspects of Zero Balancing through lecture, discussion, and hands-on practice. As a stand alone therapy, or an adjunct to other types of treatment, ZB techniques learned in this seminar can immediately be incorporated into a health care practice, as well as used by the general public with family and friends.
