Prerequisites: Basic auriculotherapy or ear acupuncture experience.
The historical, theoretical and anatomical localization of the European System of Auriculotherapy will be presented, as well as recent German localizations important to neurological mechanisms of auricular pain relief. Specific auricular treatment plans for the relief of myofascial, visceral and neuropathic pain will be described on the first day. The second day will focus on substance abuse disorders and psychosomatic distress. Both didactic presentations and hands-on practice will facilitate a deeper understanding of the ariculotherapy practices that allow optimal integration of the microsystem of the ear to the macrosystem of the body.
Upon completion of the seminar you will be able to:
- Identify exact auricular locations of the anatomical body
- Identify the most recent and effective auricular neurological localizations on primary and secondary pain presentations
- Describe which auricular technique would provide the greatest relief to patient pathology
- Use effective and easy auricular treatments as an adjunct to the primary treatment modality
- Use effective auricular treatments in patients suffering from psychological distress issues
