This four-hour course presents legal issues and ethical considerations as they relate to the practice of acupuncture and Oriental medicine in Washington state. We will discuss applicable laws, medical ethics, professional conduct and risk management in relation to patient care, privacy issues and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
Post-course quiz must be completed with a score of 75 percent or higher to receive CEUs.
Andrea Iwi’ula, LAc, earned her masters of science in acupuncture from Bastyr University and has been a licensed and nationally certified acupuncturist since 1998. In 2003, she opened ONE Integrated Therapies, a clinic offering a complementary and holistic approach to modern healthcare needs. She is an adjunct professor at Bastyr University teaching Practice Management, Jurisprudence, and Ethics in relation to the practice of Acupuncture. She is a member of the Washington Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association (WAOMA) and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
