Prepare yourself for an evening of frightening fun as Haunted Trails returns to the Bastyr University campus October 18-19 and 25-26.
Bastyr University's annual Haunted Trails returns for another year of spooky fun! Hosted in the Kenmore campus forest the weekends of October 18-19 and 25-26, the event is one of the biggest scarefests in the area and includes frightfully enjoyable activities for teenagers and adults, as well as trick-or-treating for children ages 8 and younger. It's all for a worthy cause, as proceeds benefit student study-abroad programs.
Festivities begin with Trick-or-Treat in the campus garden from 5 to 6:45 p.m. for ages 8 and younger (cost is $5 per child), followed by the Children's Carnival from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Then things get scary when the Haunted Trails open from 7 to 11 p.m. each Friday and Saturday night ($20 per person). Events include:
Circus of Horrors
Mad Hatter's shop with food and drinks
(Please note that we do not allow children under 8 into these events. We find that it traumatizes the younger ones which is not our intent. We only want to give the adults nightmares!)
Tickets are available in advance at HauntedTrails.org or at the door starting at 6:30 p.m. Please note that a limited number of tickets are available each night. The second weekend, October 25-26, is very busy and tickets can sell out as early as 8:45 p.m. Visitors are advised to come the first weekend, Oct. 18-19, when lines are shorter.
