Each week we will explore a different aspect of the healing power of laughter, including laughter and humor as life skills, the physical and emotional health benefits of laughter, laughter in the workplace, and even how just smiling is beneficial. Each class will conclude with a half-hour Laughter Yoga session. Bring water and a willingness to “laugh for no reason”!
Please note: If you have any of the following conditions you may need to laugh gently or perhaps not participate in the Laughter Yoga session at the end of each class: hernia, recent abdominal surgery, heart disease accompanied by chest pain, asthma, and/or late stage of pregnancy.
Upon completion of the course you will be able to:
- Self-generate laughter
- Explain what Laughter Yoga is
- List the health benefits of laughter
- Create a Laughter Yoga exercise
- Describe how laughter affects life
- Use more humor and playfulness in my daily life
- Use laughter and humor to cope with challenges
