Bastyr faculty member, John DeNinno, PhD, will discuss early warning signs as part of the University's National Eating Disorders Awareness Week Speaker Series.

Bastyr University's departments of Nutrition and Exercise Science and Counseling and Health Psychology bring you the third annual National Eating Disorders Awareness Week Speaker Series from February 27 to March 1, 2012.

At the talk "Red Flags and Expressing Concern," Bastyr faculty member John DeNinno, PhD, will explore and discuss:

  • Early warning signs and "red flags"
  • When "normal" behavior becomes suspicious
  • Tools to effectively communicate concern to friends/family/patients

While eating disorders may begin with preoccupations with food and weight, they are most often about much more than food. Join us to learn more about eating disorder awareness, prevention and treatment.
