Admissions advisor Amy Toney will present an overview of Bastyr University's unique programs and community followed by an in-depth look into the Bastyr midwifery program from current student Carlee Ann Brown.
Brown is a student in the Master of Science in Midwifery program and, since April 2013, has bee
apprenticing at Rites of Passage birth services where she provides well-woman, prenatal, labor/birth, postpartum, and lactation care.
In addition, Brown has served as a volunteer at San Francisco General Hospital, an apprentice to Angelina Martinez (a world-renowned midwife in Mexico) and has offered labor support at hospital, birthcenter, and homebirths. Brown received her undergraduate degree in biology, kinesiology and holistic health from San Francisco State University.
This event is free and open to all interested individuals. Light refreshments will be served.
