You and your baby aged 2 weeks-to-9 months are invited to learn basic infant massage as students observe and practice teaching these skills. There are many benefits of infant massage for your family. Siblings are welcome! You may sign up for one or all sessions; a confirmation email will be sent with directions after you register. Students in the course will be learning infant massage strokes, infant cues and communication, the research on and clinical benefits of infant massage, group facilitation and teaching skills, touch approaches for the growing child and adaptations for the baby with special needs. Certification qualifies the student to demonstrate and guide parents and caregivers in the practical application of infant massage.

Instructor: JoAnn Lewis is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM) and Trainer with over sixteen years experience teaching infant massage all over North America. She became an International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) trainer in 2004 and has been mentored by infant massage trainers from Sweden, England and Canada. She also teaches other massage therapy courses. JoAnn resides in Ashland, OR.
