Planning for the Future

Over the past 30 years, Bastyr University has become one of the world's leading academic centers for advancing knowledge in the natural health sciences. For 12 years, Bastyr has been a proud member of the Kenmore community, building relationships with neighbors, St. Edward State Park and the community organizations that make Kenmore a great place to live and work.

In December 2008, Bastyr prepared a revised master plan that outlines a ten-year plan for the University’s future and submitted it to the City of Kenmore. This master plan is a document that defines the principles by which the physical spaces of the campus are organized, and projects possible campus development over the ten year period beginning January 2010. The Kenmore Council has referred this master plan to the Kenmore Planning Commission for consideration and recommendations to the Council on the Kenmore 2009 Land Use Docket.

As Bastyr’s updated master plan goes through this process, we are committed to working closely with our neighbors and the greater Kenmore community in a collaborative process to imagine the possibilities, create innovative solutions and help our campus grow responsibly, with great sensitivity to the care and safety of our environment.

This website will serve to provide the public with the latest information about our master plan process.
