Young Cho, PhD, Named First San Diego Faculty Member
Young Cho, PhD, a longtime professor in Bastyr's Department of Basic Sciences, has become the first member named to the Bastyr University California faculty. Dr. Cho is a true example of a versatile and integrative teacher, instructing in all three of the University's schools (Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine and Natural Health Arts & Sciences) and serving as a researcher and student researcher advisor. In addition to his expertise, Dr. Cho will promote continuity between the campuses.
The San Diego faculty hiring process has met with "tremendous interest" from the naturopathic community, drawing some 150 applications, according to Tim Callahan, PhD, Bastyr's senior vice president and provost. Interviews for an associate dean of naturopathic medicine for the San Diego campus will take place in Kenmore over the next few weeks, with more faculty hiring to follow.
