UCSD Biomedical Library Open to Bastyr Students

Bastyr University California students will have access and lending privileges at the UCSD Biomedical Library thanks to a new partnership between the universities. The arrangement will give Bastyr naturopathic students access to the same resources used by students, clinicians and researchers at the UCSD School of Medicine, the Skaggs School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, the UC San Diego Health System and the Division of Biological Sciences.

The UCSD Biomedical Library offers an extensive collection of printed and electronic books, journals and databases, along with the latest information on consumer health, translational medicine and patient care. More than 300,000 faculty, students and visitors use the Biomedical Library and its resources each year, and the library is a designated National Library of Medicine Resource Library.

Credit goes to Moira Fitzpatrick, PhD, ND, FICPP, CHT, Bastyr University California’s Vice President, for arranging the deal. Well done!

Bastyr students also have access to an on-campus library offering extensive naturopathic journals, books and electronic databases, as well as the assistance of the Kenmore library staff.

This blog contains the most recent updates and developments for Bastyr University's San Diego campus, which opened in fall 2012.

The San Diego campus and clinic is located at 4106 Sorrento Valley Boulevard in the center of the city's life sciences cluster and approximately 14 miles north of downtown.

It lies within walking distance of the San Diego Coaster commuter train (which connects to more light-rail lines), and is within a short drive of the University of California-San Diego, Scripps Mercy Hospital and the VA San Diego Medical Center.
