New Off-Site Clinics Extend Our Reach in Southern California

Thanks to the work of Professor Tabatha Parker, ND, and others, we now have clinic shifts at two off-site clinics near our California campus. These sites make Bastyr's health services available to more of the San Diego County population. They also give students additional training sites along with Bastyr University Clinic on campus. Here's information from our new Community Care page:

Naturopathic Medicine Community Care - San Diego

Bastyr University's external clinic program provides basic natural health care to diverse, often underserved, populations throughout the Puget Sound and San Diego regions. The program consists of sites where advanced naturopathic medicine (ND) students provide free or reduced-rate care under the supervision of Bastyr clinical faculty. On average, our students see more than 3,500 patients a year at these community clinics.

About

This blog contains the most recent updates and developments for Bastyr University's San Diego campus, which opened in fall 2012.

The San Diego campus and clinic is located at 4106 Sorrento Valley Boulevard in the center of the city's life sciences cluster and approximately 14 miles north of downtown.

It lies within walking distance of the San Diego Coaster commuter train (which connects to more light-rail lines), and is within a short drive of the University of California-San Diego, Scripps Mercy Hospital and the VA San Diego Medical Center.
