Registration Policies

We understand and appreciate the investment of your time and money when you enroll in a Simkin Center course. Our commitment to you extends beyond the course itself.

Please make sure to review our policies before registering for a course. Policies may vary depending on the course, so make sure to review the course specific policies.

Please be aware that the Simkin Center reserves the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we offer two options: you can transfer to another Simkin Center course or receive a full refund.

If you have any questions about our registration policies, please don't hesitate to contact us via email at [email protected] or give us a call at (425) 602-3378.

We value your trust and strive to provide the best support throughout your entire course experience.

We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise. If you are unable to attend a course and cannot transfer to a future course, you have the option to cancel your registration. While we sympathize with these situations, please note the following cancellation policy:

  • Cancellation requests made at least 30 calendar days before the first day of the workshop are eligible for a full refund, excluding a $150 processing fee.
  • Cancellation requests made less than 30 calendar days before the start of the class are not eligible for a refund.

If you are unable to attend a course, you have the option to request a transfer to another Simkin Center course. Here are the details of our transfer policy:

  • The deadline to request a transfer is 30 calendar days before the first day of the workshop.
  • To initiate a transfer, visit the Simkin Center Course Calendar and select the desired course. Contact us to let us know which course you would like to attend.
  • When transferring, you will need to pay a $100 processing fee, as well as any price difference in workshop fees (if applicable).
  • The transfer course must take place within 9 months of your initial course.
  • Once a transfer is made, it is not possible to transfer again or receive a refund.
  • Only one transfer per calendar year is permitted.

To successfully complete your course, it is necessary to attend all sessions in their entirety. Here is our make-up policy:

  • Attendance for 100% of the course sessions is required. Unfortunately, no refunds can be provided for no shows and/or missed portions of a course, and a certificate of completion cannot be issued for incomplete attendance.
  • Please note, not all Simkin Center courses offer a make-up option.
  • If you have missed any sessions, it may be possible to make up those missed portions with approval from the instructor and the Simkin Center Director.
  • Additional make-up and processing fees may apply for arranging the make-up sessions.
  • Make-up policies vary depending on the specific course. You can find information about the make-up policy in your course confirmation email or by referring to the specific course registration policies.
  • If you miss any sessions and need to explore your options for make-up, please contact us. We will be glad to assist you.

To obtain your certificate of completion, it is necessary to attend all sessions and successfully complete all assignments before the workshop concludes. We value your commitment to the program and encourage your active participation throughout.

If you require a duplicate digital copy of your certificate of completion, please contact our office directly. Email us at [email protected] or call us at 425-602-3378.  We will be happy to assist you in initiating the request for a duplicate certificate.

You are welcome to bring your infant aged 0-4 months as long as you also bring a caregiver.  We ask that your caregiver care for your baby outside of the classroom.  Nursing is always welcome in the classroom, and your baby can visit you during class for this purpose.  Please let us know in advance if you are bringing your baby and caregiver.  If you are lactating we can accommodate your needs to nurse, pump or generally care for yourself in the very best way.
