Briefly describe your practice (business model):
Clinical primary care practice with a focus on homeopathy, nutrition, detoxification, and botanical medicine. Practice includes 2 naturopathic doctors, 1 acupuncturist and 1 ND/colon hydrotherapist.
How is natural medicine accepted in your region?
There is a much larger educational component here compared with the West Coast. Natural medicine is reasonably well accepted by the general public but not as widely accepted with the conventional medical community.
What do you find to be the most interesting aspect of practicing?
Homeopathic cases.
What are your overall marketing strategies?
Building a referral network with the local health community, presentations and advertising.
What keeps you motivated to practice?
A sense of contribution both on a community and personal level. Positive feedback from patients and having a positive effect on their health.
What’s next for you? Where would you like to place your energies?
Opening a second office in Annapolis in November 2002. Working in a complementary nature with local hospitals and oncology patients.

Cultural events music, theatre, museum exhibits, movies
Running, cycling, hiking/backpacking, travel
