Walter Crinnion, ND
Interviewed April 2003
Dr. Crinnion is a professor at SCNM in Tempe, AZ
Briefly describe your practice (business model):
College clinic. I am also the Director of the Environmental Medicine Center of Excellence at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine.
How is natural medicine accepted in your region?
Quite well. Wonderful licensure.
What do you find to be the most interesting aspect of practicing?
Helping the chronically ill with difficult cases find the answers they have been searching for.
What are your overall marketing strategies?
Get people well, treat them with love and respect and they will fill your practice.
What keeps you motivated to practice?
The need and joy of helping others.
What’s “next” for you? Where would you like to place your energies?
My goal is to change the way medicine is done and the way naturopathy is viewed by the medical establishment. I want to stake out the arena of naturopathic environmental medicine as the domain of NDs, and prove that what we do works!
What are some of your interests/hobbies outside of healing?
Besides writing lists of all that I need to do? Going on expeditions that require travel via canoe, kayak or horse. Going to sacred sites. Cooking.
