I found my "home" at Bastyr University — someplace unique where I truly belonged. The community of students, faculty and staff makes it special. The faculty members have diverse views and beliefs that enhance, not detract, from the Bastyr experience, and their abundant support made achieving my academic goals all the more attainable.
Through my undergraduate degree program in health psychology, I have learned I must place — and keep myself — at the top of my priority list in order to stay balanced in body, mind and spirit. That balance was supported at Bastyr not only by the community, but by the University's campus itself. The school's location next to St. Edward State Park is such a blessing. I recently traveled out of state to visit a graduate school, and I quickly realized how spoiled we were at Bastyr. I was grateful to be able to look out the windows during a lecture and drink in the beauty of the beautiful, 51-acre campus or take a break from studying and go for a walk in the woods.
I feel deeply grateful both for my time at Bastyr and for what I learned. I believe I became a more compassionate person, developed a higher level of confidence in my abilities and discovered how to better manage the stress life sends my way.
Bastyr is an awesome school, campus and community of people that will change your life.
