Bastyr turned my dreams into a career, and provided me with the strongest personal connections and support network in my life.
I really enjoyed the vibrant mix of people at Bastyr. I also appreciated the support I received from the faculty and the Bastyr community during difficult times. Whenever things were hard, someone was always there to inspire me and reflect my goals and dreams back to me. I came to understand how vital an open and supportive community is to learning how to care for others — and for one's self.
I now feel confident as I move on to my residency and start planning to open my own community practice. My hope: to start a practice that integrates different practitioners of medicine and focuses on developing community.
To succeed at Bastyr, you must be ready for a life-changing education. The educational standards are high, and the learning process is quite challenging at times. But that forces you to look inward and find the strength to be the best doctor possible. I can think of nothing more rewarding than going through that evolution.
