It was a joy to attend Bastyr University. There was so much to experience. The student to instructor ratio allowed me to have immediate access to faculty members who were working hard to see me succeed. And the small class sizes promoted a group cohesion I truly appreciated. There is a community at Bastyr that is willing to help you 100 percent of the time.
As a recent exercise science and wellness graduate, I'm interested in building a career around improving the health of America's workforce through wellness education and training. I believe I can create a paradigm shift in the way people view work and health, moving them away from the popular perception that busy schedules mean no time for wellness. Bastyr encouraged me to think outside the box and pursue my dreams.
And yet the path to academic success at Bastyr isn't easy. You must come prepared to work, to learn, to share and to be open. And you must come with no prejudgments. Be prepared to laugh when you want to cry and go a little further when you want to sleep. When you graduate, Bastyr will have prepared you to help more people achieve wellness than you ever thought possible.
