The environment directly surrounding Bastyr includes the suburban community of Kenmore, a newly-incorporated area of King County. Located right on the shore of Lake Washington, Kenmore is easily accessible from Seattle to the west and Bellevue to the east.
The neighboring suburb of Kirkland, a quaint lakeside community to the southeast, offers shops, restaurants and waterside parks. This is also the site of the Seattle Seahawks football training camp.
