Bastyr Campus

Bastyr University's natural health science campus is located in Kenmore, ten miles northeast of Seattle in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The 186,000 square foot facility rests on fifty acres of fields and woodlands on the northeast shore of Lake Washington. Built in 1959 as a Catholic seminary, this building houses the University's classrooms and other facilities, including:

A variety of off-campus apartments and rental homes are available in the Juanita, Mountlake Terrace, Bothell and Kenmore areas.

Campus Setting

St. Edward State Park trail The Bastyr campus setting is uniquely suited for the study of natural health sciences. The grounds, well-watered by the Pacific Northwest rainfall, stay green most of the year. The burgeoning herb garden draws students to learn, get their fingers in the dirt or just admire the aesthetic beauty of nature's medicinal plants.

Adjacent to the University's own playfields and gardens are miles of wooded trails winding through 316-acre St. Edward State Park to the shore of Lake Washington. The park has a secluded beach and a natural habitat where coyotes, eagles and spotted owls find refuge. The park also manages a swimming pool, outdoor volleyball courts, tennis courts and playfields available to Bastyr students, faculty and staff.

Beyond the Classroom

Many Bastyr students dream of extending their studies beyond the United States borders, and the University offers many ways to help students to fulfill that dream. Bastyr "venture grant" is one option, which gives students a chance to receive financing for educational ventures they design themselves.
