Bastyr UniversityTransfer Guide FAQs

Bastyr University is an upper-division institution offering Bachelor of Science degrees in exercise science and wellness, health psychology, herbal sciences, nutrition, nutrition and culinary arts, nutrition and exercise science, and health psychology. Also offered is a combined BS/MS completion program in acupuncture and Oriental medicine. All students must have completed the equivalent of two years of college course work before enrolling in an undergraduate degree program at Bastyr.

Bastyr only enrolls new degree seeking students for the fall quarter. All of your prerequisite coursework must be completed before the fall quarter begins (generally in the last week of September). The priority application deadline for all undergraduate programs is March 15, although we will accept applications after this date on a rolling basis, according to space available in the program. The best time to submit an application is the period between January and March prior to the fall when you wish to enroll. Your prerequisites may still be in progress when you apply, as long as you have a plan to complete them before Bastyr's classes start in September. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis for general education requirements.

Important Note: All prerequisites are listed in quarter credits. To convert your quarter credits to semester credits, multiply by 1.5. For example, 3 semester credits x 1.5 = 4.5 quarter credits.
